1910 ൽ കൊച്ചിയിൽ 23000 ആളെ ആകെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു.

പത്മ ജങ്ഷൻ പുഞ്ച പാടമായിരുന്നു.

ബാനർജി റോഡു മുതൽ പാലാരിവട്ടം വരെ തോടായിരുന്നു.

ലുലു മാൾ ഉള്ള ഇടപ്പളി കുറുക്കൻ മാർ നിറഞ്ഞ കാടായിരുന്നു ..

അതിന്റെ സൈഡിലെ ഓവുചാൽ... കനാൽ ആയിരുന്നു തൃക്കാക്കാര അമ്പലത്തിലേക്ക് വള്ള സദ്യ നടത്തിയതും രാജാവ് എഴുനെള്ളിയിരുന്നതും ഇതിലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

പെരുമ്പടപ്പ് സ്വരൂപം എന്ന പേരിലാണ് ആദ്യ കാലത്ത് കൊച്ചി അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്.

ആദ്യകാലത്ത് KSRTC Bus Stand ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ Boat Jetty ആയിരുന്നു.

ഏറണാകുളത്തെ ആദ്യത്തെ ഉയരം കൂടിയ (കേരളത്തിലെ ) ബഹുനില കെട്ടിടം Hotel Sealord ആയിരുന്നു.

പെൻറാ മേനക ഒരു കാലത്ത് തിരക്കേറിയ സിനിമാ തീയേറ്ററായിരുന്നു. സിനിമ തുടങ്ങുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് കോളാമ്പി പാട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. നീലക്കുഴിൽ , ഒരാൾ കൂടി കള്ളനായി - ഈ സിനിമകൾ ഇവിടെയാണ് റിലീസ് ചെയ്തത്. ഹിറ്റായ " ഭാര്യ " പത്മയിലും . പാലാട്ട് കോമൻ , റെബേക്ക ഇവിടെ റിലീസ് ചെയ്തു

ഇന്നത്തെ വൈറ്റില ജംഗ്ഷൻ 1972 ൽ പോലും ആരോരുമറിയാത്ത കൊച്ചു ഗ്രാമമായിരുന്നു. പൂണിത്തുറ വില്ലേജ് ഓഫീസ് ഈ കവലിയിലായിരുന്നു.
കടവന്ത്രയിൽ റോഡിനിരുവശവും പൊക്കാളി കൃഷി നടത്തിയിരുന്നു.

MG Road സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് സഹോദരൻ അയ്യപ്പൻ പൊതുമരാമത്ത് മന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നപ്പോഴാണ്. അത്രയും വലിയ റോഡ് പണിതപ്പോൾ അയ്യപ്പന്റെ പേരിൽ ആരോപണം ഉയർന്നു , അയ്യപ്പന്റെ മറുപടി " എന്നും കൊച്ചി കൊച്ചു കൊച്ചിയായിരിക്കില്ല '" .

MG Road മൊത്തം നിലമായിരുന്നു. രവിപുരത്തെ Mercy Estate 1952 വിറ്റത് Rs 500/- .

പുത്തൻകുരിശ് - എറണാകുളം ദൂരം 20 km . 1972 ൽ പുത്തൻകുരിശിൽ നിന്നും എറണാകുളം St. Albert ' s college വരെ എത്താൻ KSRTC Bus എടുത്ത സമയം 30 മിനിട്ട് . ഇന്ന് ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂർ മിനിമം വേണം.

South , North ഓവർ ബ്രിഡ്ജ് കളില്ലാതിരുന്ന ഒരു കാലമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു . ട്രെയിൻ കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു വരെ വാഹനങ്ങൾ കാത്ത് നില്ക്കും .

Broadway തുടക്കത്തിൽഒരു വലിയ സംഭവമായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇന്നത് ചീള് കേസ് ! Narrow ആയി മാറി .( Broadway യിലെ Bharath Hotel ൽ പഴയ Broadway യുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് )

1960 കളിൽ എറണാകുളത്തെ Roadകൾ ആൾ വലിക്കുന്ന റിക്ഷാ വണ്ടികൾ കൊണ്ട് നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. പിന്നീടത് സൈക്കിൾ റിക്ഷക്കും , തുടർന്ന് ഓട്ടോ റിക്ഷക്കും വഴി മാറി .

AD ഒന്നാം ശതകത്തിൽ തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറ് യിരുന്നു. ( ടോളമിയുടെ ഭൂപടം) .
കൊച്ചി രാജ്യത്തെ തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ, ചന്ദ്ര ഗുപ്തന്റെ കാലത്തെ ഗ്രീക്ക് സ്ഥാനപതിയായിരുന്ന മെഗസ്തിനീസ് എഴുതിയ ഇൻഡിക് എന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ പരാമർശിക്കപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്

Delhi-NCR to get 135 electric charging stations
As the situation in Delhi gets worse day by day with the rising pollution levels, NITI Aayog in collaboration with AC2SG has proposed to set up an electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the Delhi-NCR region. The plan to install the charging infrastructure across 55 locations that will comprise of 135 charging stations, 46 DC quick charging stations and 89 slow AC charging stations. The entire process is based on a five step process which includes project kick off, gathering a list of locations, streamlining and timing and finally documentation and wrap up.

Rolls-Royce is looking to make the paradigm switch from gas-engines to electric over the next decade, according to the company's CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. Saying that the switch to electric is the right way forward for the most prestigious name in the global automotive industry. According to a recent report in Autocar India, Müller-Ötvös said that the Phantom, their flagship model, already has a platform that was built to support electric power-plants as well "The architecture of the new Phantom already copes for the electric requirement and is capable of delivering a full-electric drivetrain in the next decade," That aside Müller-Ötvös also said that the future could have electric drivetrains as well in the near future.Even more, interestingly, the push for electric is being governed by the fact that in the next decade, most major city centres will ban all combustion driven cars, at which point a customer from Rolls-Royce might still want to drive his car into the city centre. Which is why Rolls-Royce say they are planning to make the shift.

Lamp posts in London are being turned into charging points
London’s lamp posts are being transformed into electric vehicle charging points, as Kensington and Chelsea Council announce a new initiative to let drivers plug their cars directly into streetlights.
“There's no additional powering or increase in the lamp post infrastructure in order to supply extra power,” Tom Pakenham, Head of Electric Vehicles at OVO told Alphr. He notes that this is made possible by the nationwide lamp post upgrade program, “where they're [replacing] halogen or incandescent bulbs up to LED, which has a lower power draw. This frees up a bunch of power on each lamp post to be used for charging.”
Gerard Hargreaves, Kensington and Chelsea Council Lead Member for Transport, says there is a growing demand for charging facilities in the borough: “Most residents do not have access to off-street parking to charge an electric vehicle. Retro-fitting street lamps with charging technology allows drivers to conveniently charge their vehicles closer to home, while helping to tackle air pollution in London.
